“Burnout” is not just an issue that we experience at work. What happens when the experience of “burnout” is actually coming from home? A new study in the Journal of Clinical Psychological Science found that parental burnout—defined as an “overwhelming exhaustion related to one’s parental role, an emotional distancing from one’s children, and a sense of parental ineffectiveness”—led parents to be more neglectful and even violent towards their children. How can we cope with our children and our spouses when we’re burned out? Process through our own anger, sadness, and frustration. Come experience a healing session, with hypnotic processes and emotional releases, so that you can “live well with the children you love.” A hypnotic process will be included in the evening’s activities.
